Terms and Conditions
Payments
All fees must be paid before the start of the next term/half terms classes. Classes will not commence until payment has been received or both parties have agreed upon an alternative payment date. If classes do proceed and the agreed payment date is not adhered to, it will result in the termination of classes.
Terminating classes
We request you give half a terms notice if you wish lessons to stop. The remaining fee for the term is nonrefundable should you choose to leave in the middle of a term/half term.
Group class capacity
Wren’s reserves the right to add students to group classes at any point in the term. Group classes are capped at 4-5. Where a student may need to attend an alternative group class on a different day of the week as they are unable to attend their own class we will reserve the right to fill the group to 5-6 students on a 'one off' basis.
Class absence
Solo Classes: If your child is unable to attend a class we request you give 48 hours notice, or the class will still have to be paid for in full. If more than 48 hours’ notice is given the class fee will be taken off next term's invoice.
If you need to reschedule a class for a different time during the week then please arrange this with your tutor and contact Jennifer to inform her of the updated class. If your tutor cannot fit in a rearranged class and the proper notice has been given of the absence, then the amount will be taken off your next invoice.
If for whatever reason, your tutor has to cancel a class, you will not be charged for this session or the amount will be taken off your next invoice.
Wren’s tutors will not remind students of classes. If a student does not arrive at the class start time and no prior warning is given, the tutor reserves the right to cancel the class after 15 minutes of waiting. This class will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Group Classes: All absences must be paid for. No credit can be rolled into the next term. If you child is unable to attend and notice has been given, they will be offered an alternative group class on a different day in the week or the following week.
If you are unable to attend the alternative group class and wish to organise an additional catch-up session for your child The catch-up session will be a 30-minute solo slot and will incur the additional charge of a solo class. Please arrange this through Jennifer.
If for whatever reason, your tutor has to cancel a class, you will not be charged for this session or the amount will be taken off your next invoice.
Wren’s tutors will not remind students of group classes. If a student does not arrive at the class start time and no prior warning is given, tutors reserve the right to refuse entry to the class if a student is more than 15 minutes late. This class will not be rescheduled or credited for the next term.
Learning Conditions
Please ensure your child is in a quiet, well-lit room. They will need a place to sit and write and a space they can stand to deliver their pieces. They must have their camera on at all times during the class and must be visible from at least the waist up. If the students can not be seen or heard on the camera, they may be asked not to participate in the session.
Please do not try and do your session from the car or a park, if the tutors feel the learning conditions of the session are not adequate for the session they have planned, they reserve the right to cancel the class and this will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Exam Entries and Fees:
From September 2023 - Parents will now enter their own child for the exam. Wren's will guide and assist you on how to do this and provide you with the recommended date for your child's exam. You must NOT book an exam BEFORE the recommended date, should you choose to do this we can not guarantee your child will be ready for this exam.
You are responsible for informing Jennifer of the exam date when it is booked. LAMDA sets the exam fees - Wren's has no responsibility or control over the exam fee increases. Exam fees can be paid for in full upon booking.
